The four stacks

MMO slang

DPS, Tank, Healer, Aggro

Role shorthand from MMOs, though aggro has long since escaped into every genre with an enemy in it.

FPS slang

Camping, Wallbang, Hipfire, Quickscope

Shooter vocabulary, all of it describing something slightly disreputable.

Fighting game terms

Footsies, Mixup, Okizeme, Frame Trap

Fighting game terms. Okizeme is Japanese and almost always shortened to oki in English-speaking scenes.

Melee tech

Wavedash, L-Cancel, Shine, SHFFL

Melee-specific technique. All four are emergent behaviours the developers never designed — wavedashing comes out of an air-dodge interacting with the ground, and the scene built two decades of competition on it. Wavedash is the trap, since other fighters use the word for something else entirely.
